School Information

Deshar Primary School is a school consisting of two primary classes, from P1 to P7 and an Early Learning and Childcare setting, serving the village of Boat of Garten and the surrounding area. The school is part of a cluster arrangement with Abernethy Primary School in Nethy Bridge. Although the schools work closely together, there are still many elements which make each school unique.

Deshar Primary School is part of the associated school group belonging to Grantown Grammar School in Grantown. The school is located located in a rural setting on the outskirts of Boat of Garten and is surrounded by beautiful countryside.

At Deshar we strive to create a happy, caring and welcoming environment for all our pupils, parents, staff and visitors. Parents are invited into the school to attend pupil consultation meetings, information workshops, assemblies and concerts or to offer support as volunteers. We issue regular newsletters to keep parents informed about events and activities and the Deshar Primary School Website and Google Classrooms deliver up-to-date news, information and photographs.
